Sterling Plant Bodies - Improving Operational Performance Apprenticeship

Employees from Sterling Plant Bodies recently completed the Improving Operational Performance Apprenticeship. The qualification which took just over a year to complete was a great success.

Philip Hunwick, Workshop Manager at Sterling said:

"The Apprenticeship delivered by atl has enabled our employees to gain their qualifications with minimal disruption to production. Not only do they have an improved knowledge of Health & Safety, their work has also been recognised with a nationally recognised qualification which will help their and the company’s future developments.

Fleetclean Case Study

Tank and equipment cleaning company Fleetclean Ltd who were established over 30 years ago and are based at Knottingley in West Yorkshire engaged atl to support the development of their workforce. They have recently undertaken an atl programme and pictured below are the employees who undertook the training and assessment.

 

Upon completion of the programme their Technical manager Mick Firth who is pictured on the left said:

“Atl have worked with our shift patterns and put in place a competency standard for all employees who operate the FLT. There staff were flexible and reliable and had no problem in working with our staff to ensure the programme was delivered on time and by doing this we were able to manage ongoing business needs.”

CMR UK Ltd

CMR UK Ltd who manufacture marine, off shore and industrial applications engaged atl to support the development of their workforce. They have recently undertaken atl’s apprenticeship programme and pictured below are the successfully achieved.

Upon completion of the programme their Health, Safety and Environmental Officer Stephen Thompson said:

“The Apprenticeship training programme delivered by atl has enabled employees to achieve their qualifications with minimal disruption to our production. The programme has given CMR UK qualified operators and an improved knowledge of health and safety that can only benefit all concerned. The qualifications have given our employees pride in their work and in their achievements. These qualifications are also recognised nationally and will help the future of the business and their individual careers.”

Appletree Joinery

Precision joinery products manufacturing company Appletree Joinery engaged atl to support the development of their workforce. They have recently undertaken an atl programme and pictured below are the employees successfully achieved

Upon completion of the programme their General Manager John Dunn said: “The apprenticeship and adult skills programmes delivered by atl have enabled our employees to achieve their qualifications with pride. atl delivered the programmes around our busy environment which kept disruption to a minimum and overall aided the development of our company.”

 

Appletree      

Rowlescourt Improving Operational Performance Apprenticeship

Engineering company Rowlescourt Engineering who were established in 1979 and are based in Alfreton engaged atl to support the development of their workforce. They have recently undertaken the Improving Operational Performance Apprenticeship programme and pictured below are the employees who passed all the Framework components and as a result are shown holding their completion certification.

Upon completion of the programme their Production Controller Dave Brewster said of the programme delivered by atl:

“Atl`s apprenticeship programme helped our company train and develop a number of employees to national and industry standards. The apprenticeship programme has helped us raise the level competence which can only enhance our company’s ability. I found all the assessors and trainers very helpful especially Dave Wiseman who was very professional throughout.”

Naylor Amco Plastics - Apprenticeship Case Study

Plastic Extruding and Fabrication company Naylor Amco Plastics which is based at Wath–Upon-Dearne in South Yorkshire, engaged atl to support the development of their workforce. They have recently undertaken the Improving Operational Performance Apprenticeship programme and pictured below are the employees who passed all the Framework components and as a result are shown holding some of their certification.

Upon completion of the programme their Production Manager Wayne Mallaby said of the programme delivered by atl:

“The apprenticeship training programme delivered by atl has enabled some employees to achieve their qualifications with minimal disruption to production. The programme has given Naylor Amco Plastics qualified operators with an improved knowledge of health and safety which can only benefit all concerned. The qualifications have given employees pride in their role and of their achievement knowing that the qualifications are recognized nationally and will help with their own future development. ”

 

Adelaide Engineering Apprenticeship Case Study

Engineering company Adelaide Engineering who was established in 1983 and are based at Heywood in Manchester, engaged atl to support the development of their workforce. They have recently undertaken the Improving Operational Performance Apprenticeship programme and pictured below in photograph 2 are the employees who passed all the Framework components and as a result are shown holding their achievement certificates. They are also shown in photograph 1 with atl’s Sue Atkins who was the atl assessor who worked with the company and their employees in the framework component delivery.

Upon completion of the programme their General Manager Ken Byrne said of the programme delivered by atl:

“The Improving Operational Performance Apprenticeship programme we have recently undertaken with atl has provided our employees with a number of qualifications. The programme was delivered over a length of time that enabled us to manage the on the job assessment and off the job training including testing in a way that gave our employees the opportunity to improve their skill knowledge and competence whist not impacting too much on production. The programme has widened our skill base and their job role coverage which can only improve efficiency.”

Road Tankers Northern Programme Case Study

Manufacturing company Road Tankers Northern, who was established in 1991 and are based in Barnsley South Yorkshire, used atl to train some of their workforce of which some are pictured below holding their NVQ achievement certificates.

Upon completion of the programme their Operations Director, Don McKenzie said of the programme delivered by atl

“Atl’s Operator programmes helped our company train and develop a number of employees to national and industry standards. The programme has helped us raise the level of competence which can only enhance our company’s ability. I would have no hesitation in recommending atl to other companies wanting to train and develop their lift truck drivers”
